Can anyone identify.....

HittoriHanzo Apr 14, 2007 06:50 PM

I'm buying a CB S. hispidus on monday and this forum is kind of discouraging to me. it's kinda dead in here, hope by the time I have questions someone will be kind enough to respond, anyway in the meantime I was wondering if someone could identify these pictures for me as far as species.

The middle one is S. ater. Not sure on the first and third one. Kinda-sorta look like S. hispidus but not really. Almost look like some sort of hybrid or maybe a Mexican Island species that I have not seen too many of. Any background on them?

Hey Tom,
Those are both Hispidus, no doubt. The second one looks smooth, but that's thats what they usually look like in in that adolescent stage.

Thanks. Good to hear you on the forum. Hope all is well. I got 8 red tail eggs but my Craters laid an infertile clutch this year. How are things going for you? Tom

Beautiful babies. I have one cb chuck and I love him/her. I'm looking to buy another but noone seems to have any available. Sorry I can't help with your question. Try sending Eve a personal message through her link. She helped me with a collared lizard question very quickly. Good luck.

I've actually chatted with Eve and a few other reccomended contacts, but ended up finding someone that has 06 CB Angel Islands, three of them in fact. Those pictures are just a few of the many that I've come across since deciding to get a Chuckwalla so I don't have any info about them. I actually found several on asain sites that IE 7 couldn't translate, they looked like pet-store sites though. I really like the coloration and pattern on the pics I posted, but I also like how unique the spiny tails are on the hispidus. Thanks for the replies.
