Applegate San Diego's

skyfire_1 Apr 14, 2007 08:53 PM

I have a pair of "06" Applegate San Diego Gophers, and a "06" Sonoran. The two San Diego's are very stressed when handled, or taken out to place in their feeding cages. But the Sonoran which is the same age and size is extremely docile and calm.

Although the San Diago's are all bark and no bite, I was wondering if someoe knows if this is generally how San Diego Gophers tend to be, or will they relax and calm down as they get bigger and older?

I've never had any experience w/ Applegate San Diegos, but the ones I've encountered in the wild (SFV area) have all been extremely calm and docile.

Your albino san diego gopher hissing and striking is very typical, but they will calm down with handling. Kevin
