has any body noticed that red lights bother there cresteds because my male seams to be and he wont come out at night unless its off

cresteds cannot see red light. what is the wattage of the bulb and temperature in the cage? perhaps he is just too hot?

the red light is a 50 watt bulb that i direct at the wall between my two tanks and night temp is at 68-70 degrees f in both

I've never used red light, but something that I thought was interesting is that my cresteds don't seem to care if its day or night, if its dark enough, they'll be awake.

i just proved that some crested geckos can see red light i had my room dark except my computer screen than turned the red light on and my male cresteds eyes went from compleatly dialated to barely dialated just thought i should post my findings as i have been told and read that thay couldnt but my test proves that at least some can. however it could possibly be a rare atribute as my baby createds eyes are fully dilated when its on which means not all can, either that or my male is the only one however i highly doubt this if any one else could try this experiment to see if mine is the exception or if a small portion of the population is able to see red light
