Golden Greeks

starpy24 Apr 15, 2007 12:48 PM

I've been having a hard time finding information about Golden Greeks. I just purchased one and he had a respiratory infection but is now all better and extremly active. Do you think he needs a companion? others have said that they are usually solitary until breeding season and my fight with the same sex. But would it be worth getting him a friend? even from a different species? At the store where I got him from they had him in with a Russian. I was just looking for some help. Thanks!

I personally think they should be in groups. We keep ours that way, without incident. In fact, they seem to do everything together. They all eat at the same time, burrow at the same time, and both females lay eggs at the same time.

I am not a tort expert, but I have kept and bred them for many decades and see them in nature, commonly. Enjoy the pic. Cheers
