Herpstat or Herpstat ND?

I've got an Animal Plastics Economy rack shipping out tomorrow. I'm housing hatchling and juvenile corn snakes in it in 15 and 32 qt sterilite tubs.

For the thermostat, I'm planning on getting a Herpstat. There is the standard Herpstat and the Herpstat ND with built in timer and night drop feature for $26 more.

Since corn snakes do not need a night drop, is it worth bothering with the ND version? Any future use I might have for a night drop? Just corn snakes and 1 ball python, with more bps to come eventually. Do breeding corns or BPs ever need a night drop?
