something I've noticed

sjtownsend Apr 15, 2007 04:06 PM

I don't know if this is any type of marker, but EVERY single het axanthic I produced last year and this year has the same type of spot on both sides of their upper lips. Like I said, don't know if that means something or not, but none of my other balls have these marks. Has anyone seen this before?

You have to upload the pictures to the internet first. I prefer photobucket.com myself. Just copy/paste the "IMG" link.

As far as I know, that lil baby isn't het for anything. I've seen a couple CH animals at petco that had the spots too. I think it's just an unusual marking that happens sometimes.

Beautiful albinos! They are both albinos, right? One's just faded?

Glad the photobucket stuff worked. It's delightfully simple (and loads fairly quick) which is why I love it lol!

I'm not sure what to make of the 2nd one. When it was coming out of the egg it looked white then after it was out completely it looked like a snow, because it was extremely faded. Now it is starting to look pinkish? Only one other from that clutch made it and it is a "light" albino.

I have produced clutches from these same two parents bred together before and had good half albino half het clutches.

The parents are an albino male which I don't know about its parents (Bosch line) and the female het was only a baby when I got her from Troy Wilsted of TNT Snakes (no longer around). I heard AFTER my purchase that he had alot of weird stuff (too much inbreeding). Anyway I am waiting til it sheds to make any further predictions. The high contrast one in the picture is from a different clutch 2 months ago, same sire though. The pinkish one was hatched out on Easter.
We'll see what happens.
