are the curent BRB ads funny to look at? Just looking at a few I see a not so great looking male advertised as nippy (that's normal) LOL, since when?

Also see one where the pic is a little dark but does not look tweaked so probably just a dark pic of an average animal.

And I see some pics where they are so tweaked, the colors are way off! I know how hard it is to get pics to look "right" I've also seen my pics look like that when over tweaked. IMO wrong to use that pic for an ad!!

I agree on the classified photos. Don't use them if you can't accurately represent the animal you are trying to sell. My first thought when I saw the mediocre looking 4 year old nippy male was that I would have tried to unload him long before he turned 4 years old.

Dave a lot of ad's are funny to look at, the problem is when it is not so obvious and the snake's are misrepresented, I saw what was advertised as a hypo Brazilian, looked normal to me, so therefore to me obviously not a bona fide Hypo, but what if some poor fool unwittingly purchased this for 3k, I doubt that would happen with such a high dollar animal, but you never know. Well unless, you and Mike, have me convinced Hypos look different.

At the Chicago area show yesterday - there was only one brb and it was being carried around. Just looking at it through the container, I could tell is was something I did not want. It also was shedding in pieces.

Wrong time of year to find gems. Unless you find a breeder needing cash with a holdback or two for sale . You do need to watch thiose diamonds in the rough. Savannah came to me at a show. Eyes all crusty, skin all tattered with bad shed(s). BUT, I could still see the shinning gem under all that "dirt". I brought her home, gave her a good environment and fed her well. After each of the next few sheds she looked better and better. Really wish I had pics of her before, only have the after ones:

Two pics taken the same day, first daytime, second evening:

Yeah, but not my point, How can folks post animals for sale with either a crappy ugly pic or a pic that is so overly tweaked to make it look good that it looks phony. Having taken so many pics of BRB's, I can quite often see what the animal will probably look like no matter what the pic. Of course details are lost but a "obviously brightened" pic will probably yield a average BRB at best and more likely a dim dull individual.

I guess it just sticks in my craw how hard I try to get the pics at least close and then see these yahoos (IMO intentionally) distorting to make the sale.

Honestly I don't know.. it bugs me as well. I usually just go to the next listing without even reading the description. If someone is not going to take the time to present an accurate, focused photo.. then I don't want to deal with them..
