Hi folks....Noticing light brown/tan patches showing up, on my adult male 50/50 banded kingsnakes scales, in the white areas after his last shed. If you look close each individual scale is discolored. They don't feel raised or puffy just discolored and in groups about 1/2 inch in size. Also I've noticed since his last shed that he is not quite a slick and shiny and his texure feels a bit rough. Most of the dicoloration occurs around the middle of his body and only on his top sides. Easy to see the discoloration because he has a very bright white wide bands. There also seems to be a tan discoloration between some of his scales too.
Any help greatly appeciated.
I don't know if this is normal, if it needs treated with iodine, or what. He is a gorgious textbook quality specimen and I hope he is ok.
