My dragon sleep too much

kotp Apr 16, 2007 07:51 PM

Hi,
I have a dragon arround 7 months old. She always sleep at daytime. Im sure that she has enough sleeping time at night. I have setted the timer 12 hours on and off the light. Temp are just fine; basking spot has 115F. My tank is little big (75G). When she go to the other side of the light, she will stop on there and sleep over there. The temp at there is arround 70F.
Any one know what happen to my dragon.
Thanks

My beardie was doing this and it turned out he had coccidia...I'm sure other's can post more info. and ideas as to what could be wrong, but this is how my guy was acting and he would only poop once every two weeks or so. It also took going through two reptile vets to find the right one - 1st misdiagnosed and gave far too much of the meds. I would suggest a visit to the vet - especially a fecal exam.

I agree with fecal being done to rule out or treat parasites. But mine started doin that when they had a week of no real protein(no bugs). Gave mine a pinky the next morning and were fine. If you have a reptile club in town call them and see who people recommend for vet. I say that cause my group has a herpetologist vet...
