I haven't been on here in a while due to my move to Alaska but i'm back for good now LOL we just got our internet hooked up
Before i left Virginia i had to sell my first two clutches of corn snake eggs. It was devastating but I found a nice person to care for them.
The first clutch had 12 eggs but one went bad and only 11 hatched.
The father is Phoenix a caramel/amber male w/ unknown hets
and the mother is Kilowea a caramel het butter
In the clutch were 6 butters and 5 caramels proving that Phoenix is het for butter! She is going to send me one of the female butters considering how unexpected this was. I am also expecting a second clutch from this pair in a few weeks.
Here are some pics of the babies
the second clutch had 16 eggs but one went bad and only 15 babies hatched.
the father is the same(phoenix) and the mother is Zhaneel a snow with unknown hets
I got another surprise in this clutch it turns out that both Phoenix and Zhaneel are het for motley! the results from this clutch were 2 amel motleys, 4 normal motleys, 2 amels, and 7 normals. Here is a picture of "Flood" the hatchling that The lady is keeping
For my first year of breeding corns i got a few nice surprises and i'm ready for second clutches!
Corns really are addicting LOL I also am awaiting the arrival of 4 more hatchlings at the end of the month from Don Soderberg(SMR)I can't wait! Hope you enjoyed the pics!
