Several new pics....du warning

rainbowsrus Apr 16, 2007 11:09 PM

For this group of photos, I wanted to show some of the uniqueness of several individuals.

This is Porky, notice how his dorsals are all broken up. He's not thrown any babies like that but
then again, he's not been line bred (yet). Will see how that goes next season.

Next is Lefty, the father of all my bullseyes to date, his crescents are full and there are a few
bullseyes on him and many close to bullseyes as well:

This is Hook, one of my favorite holdbacks from 2005. Not a super stunning baby but definitely
grew into a stunning male. His name comes from this hook bulseye on one side:

One of my Hypo Males, Dumbo. Got his name from a elephant looking set of blotches near his
head. Named him right at Mikes place when I saw the elephant on his neck (only the close-up is new):

And the last male of this session, Lon. He's my most outstanding "Blush" baby from 2006. His
side markings are crazy, all speckled and I see all kinds of faces in them. Kind of like looking at
puffy clouds:

On to the females, this is Bullseye, one of my holdbacks from 2001. I named her for a dorsal
pattern on her neck before I knew what a true bullseye was. Oh well, the name sticks. Again,
only the clasp is new:

This is Clover, sister to Bullseye. I named her after the connected circles as the first neck pattern.
Looks like a three leaf clover:

One of my favorite BRB's is Daisey. The most intense orange BRB's I've yet seen. Named was
inspired by the "rubber duck" pattern on her neck:

Another really nice orange female is Crystal. She has a snowman like pattern on her neck so
named after frosty's wife. (anybody seeing a naming pattern here?):

And last for tonight and by no means least is Tawney, My anery from Brian Sharp. So far she
has kept her white crescents, very impressive looking!!

That was a great set of pictures, Dave. I like how you gave us a little inside information on how you named them. And man oh man, that Daisy.... I tell ya, one day you're going to go and do poop patrol and she just wont be there anymore! Somehow she'll have slithered all the way to Wisconsin to live with me.

Dave, I noticed on your site she appears to be gravid, I need another rainbow to diversify my bloodline, is there a waiting list I need to be on? If so mark me down for a male. Since it has finally sunk in that you are not going to part with any of the adults you have been teasing me with , I guess I will have to break down and make an investment in quality. I am keeping my group small ( I have a lot of snakes) so I choose my snakes carefully, I got a super nice pair from Jeff, so I will breed them next season and want a nice male from your bloodline and I love her color, my female from Jeff is now 3.5 pounds, well on her way for next season. ( I think since we chat almost daily you should give me pick of the litter after you get your pics lol)

Yeah, she's looking a bit lumpy, not expecting a large litter from her and already have a few "on the list" for her babies but consider yourself added. I also have her parents and they've been going at it so may have 100% sibs to her. Not certain which of the two females is her mom but I suspect it's the oranger of the two. Either way, those females are quite lerge 7 1/2 lbs each so they could throw very nice litters for me.

How many spots "on the list" do you want? You were already there from an earlier request. Getting forgetful? Don't know if I should trust one of my precious's to a forgetful individual such as yourself.
