Varanus Rubidus question

wolsniw Apr 17, 2007 12:55 AM

Hi, I was wondering if there were any varanus rubidus availible or being bred in the US. Most of the Argus monitors on the market look like the varanus horni. From pictures, especially the pic in Varanoid lizards of the World, Rubidus looks much larger and impressive than most argus monitors in captivity. Thanks, any info would be helpfull.

no there aren't, at least none that I know of. I wish there where, but 99.9% of all argus monitors in the US are v.p.horni. Rubidus aren't any bigger than the other two but have different colors and patterns.
