We caught some of the cold too

PHRatz Apr 17, 2007 09:11 AM

This recent cold spell that swept through the country hit here a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. It's so irritating!
I had some sort of greens growing in the pen, I can't remember what they were because I planted the seeds last fall. A big row of something sprouted, was doing great then the cold killed them & so now I'll never know what it was LOL!

I still have mulberries on the trees but at this point I can't tell if any are going to survive or if they're all just going to die & drop off.
I heard on TV that the national weather service expects this to be the end of it, I can't wait to get the boxies outside.. I so hope that this year they can stay out for good!
With all the rain their pen is so overgrown with grass & weeds right now.. I'm going to have to mow before I can get them out there!
Global warming.. yeah, right...

We got a couple of inches! Enough to kill things but then of course it was gone the next day. lol

The terror oy.. he ate string got an intestinal blockage had an endoscopy, luckily they were able to remove the string & blockage with the scope so he didn't have to be cut. I have the string in a pill bottle. LOL
The problem since then has been upset stomach sort of like a pre-ulcer condition but meds are fixing that.. I hope for good.

I tried to mow the boxie pen yesterday with the reel mower.. oh my gosh! It's so overgrown because of all the rain we've had, I could not get the job done. DH is going to have to get in there & get it done this weekend. Someone gave him a motorized reel mower after we bought mine.. it needs the blades sharpened. That thing would be fabulous if the blades were sharp.
Can't wait to get the girls out there for good.
