Argentine boas...

loconorc Apr 17, 2007 02:01 PM

Anyone know of any breeders of argentines? Its about that time of year for babies, and I am in the mood for a new snake. If I can find one, this will probably be it. And how much are they nowadays? Last time I checked they were like $700, arent they around 200 now? Thanks everyone!

Where did you see $700, and how long ago?
I've always seen them around $200 up and down $50 since '04.

Gus Rentfro usually has a litter every year. Beautiful pure Argentines and not bad prices.

The 700 was QUITE a while ago, maybe around '98. I havent been into boas constrictors at all, and am just now considering them. Either an Argentine or Hog Island will be next in the collection. I still might get another entirely different snake next, but my next (and first) boa will be one of the two. I have a better chance at the Argentine than the carpet python I had my eye on. Oh well, I'm young, I'll get everything eventually. :D
Any other breeders you know of? I went to Gus' site, and he doesnt have any Argentine ANYTHING on there. If I contact him, you think me might have any? If you know of any breeders, let me know please! I can find a breeder for almost anything, but boa locales are just...too confusing. Thanks!

I bought a few Argentine's from Gus about 2 months ago and they are very nice.

It looks like he has 2 males left and 2 of them are very nice.

Good luck.

I've seen adults at shows for $200-$300 and babies for $100-$200.

I would never sell any of my Maxx Pink babys for any less then 250.00 males and 300.00 for females. There way to cool of a boa easy to bred and get huge..
