Troy, Joe, everyone...

How about make a film of a of you driving down the road and you see a turtle. You stop and your young daughter gets out to move it. Before you are able to get it off the road you see
the flashing lights and get pulled over. The warden says, "see here young lady, you can't just pick up everything on the road".
You then pan to the road and see an 18 wheeler coming for the turtle. You then see a turtle getting squashed on the road. (don't use a live turtle but a dead or fake one for that part). The little girl screams and the warden says.. "There's nothing wrong with that truck running over the turtle.", "But we do have problems with people trying to pick them up.". Then pan out to someone saying something about going to your weblink about prop HB2414. Then email the youtube link to everyone you know including the news. You tube is one of the best ways to get your point across these days. The fact that a turtle gets run over will cause some pop.

I think someone had mentioned something earlier almost just like this... If you did, I am not trying to steal your thunder... my point, it is a great idea, and put it on YOU TUBE.

Who knows... it could be one of those things that gets aired on the news or G4 tv or something...

The original video idea came from “rpelaez” in this post.. I suggested an additional scene with a turtle, much like you have described, in this post.. “Rpelaez” offered a humorous alternate (although politically incorrect) ending in this post.

I think a You Tube video and distribution as you suggested would be great. Does anyone have a turtle shell, video camera, and willing actors?

I think the video would be a great idea. Wish I was closer and could help out. There was a truck driver on another site who posted some pics he took in west texas over the past year or so. I can try to find where I saw his post and contact him. Maybe he could help out if you really want to use a mack truck.
