One more question on iguanas

if i use a 6'high by 4' long should i use more than one basking areas or just more than one heat emitters, say one on each side of the tank?

How deep is it? Is it mesh or all glass?
It will affect your decision.

Definately will need two heat sources, one high up to stimulate basking (plus UV), and down below to avoid the bottom from being too cold.

You should always test the enclosure first, adjust placement or number of heating/lighting elements accordingly, and then add the animal.
