Not too much to report today...

Found some cool petroglyphs:

Flipped a baby Blacktail:

Flipped a Red-spotted toad (I think?):

And a freshly molted Bark Scorpion:

When we got back to the truck, we realized we had left the lights on and we were stranded in the middle of NOWHERE. We got back to the highway and hitched to the nearest town, where we were finally rescued. Left my house at 6:30 am and got home at 11:15 pm!

Boy, the things we suffer just to see some snakes!

Great pictures. I have seen Black-Tailed Rattlesnakes in the Hualapai Mountains. I find them to be among the best looking species of Crotalus. I have never left my car lights on but I have often worried about doing it. I have had car batteries die prematurely from the desert heat. I live in Las Vegas. I carry a portable jump starter and I make sure it is always charged and ready. I recommend this to anyone who travels outside of town.
