Crossbreeding raises some questions!!!

gopherlover Aug 13, 2003 11:54 PM

Holy cow!!! This talk in the previous thread about hybrids really got me thinking. Personally I love pits just the way they are and wouldnt think of crossing ... well any snakes . But I was looking thru the hybrid forum and i saw a pick of a corn x king f1 gen offspring and that had to be one of the wierdest snakes I've ever seen. I recommend taking a look cause that is strange. Tell me what you think of em. They are pretty in a freakish(thats for sure) way. Hey and um guy who brought up this crossbreeding questions ... I'm not trying to rag on you so sorry if it seems like that. And by the way I used to live in Gresham and it kicks @$$ up there and i plan on moving back. Good herping.

But if you are going to cross snakes, feel free to do it to corns or rats snakes. Keep the pits and indigos nice and pure.

I know this sounds harsh, but that is my honest opinion.

I do not like hybrids one bit.

Was that you trying to sell those Sinarat Bulcorndigos?

snakeguy88 Aug 14, 2003 09:44 PM

Yeah you should see them. They are banded with blotches, hiss like bulls and they get to be indigo size. Hell, they even get the indigo's red chin at maturity. You have to watch out though because somewhere along the line they got a venomous gene "mutation" and they might be part atrox. You just never know with hybrids today. Can't some people just keep their hybrids pure? : )
