these are prtty much useless. dont both wasting your money. for a day time heat lamp use a soft white house bulb. cheap and always on hand. play with different wattages to get the temp you need. as for night time, unless your house temp drops below 65 degrees, u dont need a night heat source. if you need one then get a ceramic heat emmitter. these put off heat, but no light, and last for a long time.

yeah...i agree...don't use a night light at all. in fact, it could actually be bad to use a night light....it may stress them out if they don't get proper sleep conditions.

i wouldn't give a night time heat source unless it was less than 55F (or 60F to be safe). Night time temperatures in australia drop below 50F and Beardies have been doing pretty good there for centuries.

Hi
i agree with jake ,it is bad to give them nightlights.
i have read here in 7 years many stories about beardies who where stressed out ,and later the owners told on forum they r using nightlights.
they they turn out the night light and the beardie dith better right away.
for overday light i use mirror reflection lights also named spots in the netherlands they r cheap and doing the job very wel.

I have the 40 watt black night lights in my enclosures. Not for heat but just so i can look at them after their light turns off. Doesn't seems to bother them.
