staying in egg time

phantompoo Apr 19, 2007 02:42 PM

typically, how long do hatclings stay in their eggs after pipping? im on day 55-57 not sure. The first egg pipped this morning and i slitted the others...none have even really stuck their heads out yet.

just wondering how long they typically take to absorb their yolk and finally come out, i've heard it can take up to 24 hours?

Actually, I've had them stay in the egg up to about 2 days!

the first pipped on day 56 you say......you slit them...no sweat..let's say the one egg didn't want to pip till day 60......and then stay in the egg for another day or so.......you could wait another 4 days for them to come out........LOL.....

........we start breedings in October........

another couple days won't hurt.......

.........some of mine probably won't drop for 3 more months..........yet plenty are to drop this week.............

.........balls all year if you have enough of them........

have fun

Dot took almost (but not quite) 3 days to come out of her egg. Coco was out within 12 hours! Depends on the snakey

This might be a stupid question but im asking anyway lol.
Do you keep them in the incubator after they have pipped and before they have come out or do you leave them in the incubator till they come out?
