Does anyone offer their chucks legumes?

I grind them in a coffee grinder and sprinkle the ground up powery result onto thier salads. The uromastyx have a stronger jaw I believe to crack the raw/uncooked peas and lentils.

I do however give it to my uros right out of the bag, they have a bowl of them avaialble for snacking.

That's an interesting idea, I'll try that. Ground up lentils reminded me of a study that I came across that studied 1875 fecal pellets on the islands off the coast of Baja and Cali that contained Chucks and they concluded that Chucks consumed sand intentionally to aid digestion.

I have never tried lentils with my chuck but I do give them to my uros. I may have to try Eve's idea
