My Blizzard is very healthy and she double clutched last year although the second clutch was infertile because I hadn't mated her again after laying her first cltuch. Also she had only mated once before she laid.
My question is how long do I wait after she lays to reintro a male? after she sheds?

Snakes can successfully double clutch with only one breeding. Some snakes seem "pre-programmed" to double clutch and will do so irregardless of being reintroduced to a male, having proper weight, etc.

Some corns never double, even with good weight and frequent reintroductions.

In short, in some snakes will and some won't, and there's not necessarily anything you can do to "guarantee" (or not guarantee) double clutching.

I put males in with females once a week for 24 hours after egglaying - sometimes the females will double, sometimes they won't.

Snakes are individuals, with unique genetic, behavioral and reproductive traits - and the best breeders know and record their snakes' reproductive habits so they have a better idea what to expect each breeding season.

I have everything they do in a snake log(sheds,feeding,mating,egg laying,etc....)
Last year I wasn't trying to double clutch either snake,the blizzard did and the banded didn't....
