I'm with Andy. It depends. For neonates and juveniles, in general, I feed every 4 days. For adults I feed once a week, except for Drymarchon or other higher metabolism species. Generally they eat every 5 days or so. The juveniles, I pretty much feed as much as they'll eat every 4 days. I cut the food back a little for adults to prevent obesity. Smaller meals more often in general works well for me. Most Pituophis seem to do well on smaller meals once a week and, in fact, will regurgitate if you feed them too much or too big a meal. Temperature has a lot to do with it to. If you keep your snakes a little on the warm side, they digest the meals quicker. You have to excercise caution with that too though, because some species don't tolerate higher temps too well, such as Drymarchon, some Pituophis and Mountain Kings Snakes. You really do have to tailor it to the species.

I feed my snakes anywhere from once a week to once a month...depending on the size of the meal...and the season of the year. I feed much more often during the warm months and less during the cold months. If the cage is heated with lights I feed more often. It varies a lot but I never feed more frequently than once a week.
