I'm Hooked

I noticed a few familier names here..(I've been haunting the "kingsnake" forum) But I've just bought my first pit. From Tom Stevens (I think it was his last 2006 babypine) All I can say is... I won ...everybody else looses ...LOL.

This animal is sooooooooo cool!!! Dare I say? he has a personality ? And don't get me started on the way they look...(shape of the head...size...& everything else about them )...

I WANT & NEED more....

Haha!

Yes- they rule, don't they???

I've got a pair from Tom, and 1 from Isis...

Tom has some of the coolest southerns in existence!

You should see his 'big mama'- she's incredible!

They are very addicting. I got my first pit a couple of months ago, a great basin gopher snake. I was so taken with the snake that about a month and a half later, I bought a Northern Pine snake, who has since became my favorite snake in my collection. Talk about a lap snake. I'm now on the hunt for a black pine. I'd also like another Northern Pine that has that white hue to it like I see with a lot of them, mine's more yellow/red. Then there's bullsnakes.

Resistance is futile.

I got my first Pituophis in October.
Now I am at nine, and counting ...

I don't keep Pines, but I do keep Gophers, and I have to say they have the most personality of any snake that I've encountered.

You have no idea what you have just started......
I used to be so into kings and milks, which I still am, but man, being introduced to pits back around 1997 or so, I have not been able to slow down....ha ha...

Everything about them is incredible. The way they are more in tune with their surroundings, their personalities, etc.....it all makes for the best pet snakes out there, IMO.

Post some pics of your first pit!!!!

Thanks for sharing your new addiction with us!

Your right on,whats not to love about pits? Most thrive at room temperature with a simple heat pad and they always eat, lol. You don't have to worry about mouse sizes with a 14 inch out of the egg southern or northern pine! Kevin
