things other than snakes,lizards,etc...
I have a couple jundred old price lists from the late 80 though the later 90s.
I also have been collecting reptile related business cards for about 17 years or so.I lost a few key ones along the way like Lloyd Lemkes and some others but I got them all together and here they are.
Just thought maybe you would like to see it.

Hope you enjoyed them.

Hey Shannon

Since I'm originally from the Philippines I try collect any literature that I could find regarding Philippine Fauna. I have some prints/papers and a book dating back from the 1920's that I got a few years ago. One thing that's pretty hard to find though (if some exist) are books on Philippine Herpetofauna. The only one that I've found so far is a book of Philippine frogs from Prof. Alcala. Some of the older papers were from the CA Academy of Sciences but those were just individual studies. Take care bro.

It's not real clear in this picture but do you see the poster on the window in the upper left. I'll give you a clue. It's a herp company from the mid 90's. A lot of folks used to have these.

I'll try and get a better pic to post. BTW I did'nt see one of their cards in your impressive collection but I didn't study them that hard either.

I was thinking it was Gary Sipperly's poster. If not he had one very similar.
Here's some trivia. What was the name of Sipperly's before it was called Sipperly's?

Gmmullen Apr 21, 2007 02:26 AM

I have the same poster on my wall and I got it from Gary Sipperly in the late 80's or early 90's. It says "Reptile Breeders San Diego " on the banner.

Yes, I'm sorry San Diego Reptile Breeders was the name of Sipperly's business. I meant what name did it have before it was SDRB?

shannon brown Apr 21, 2007 11:30 AM

Damn,Its on the end of my tounge.I am pretty sure I have one of his old lists.I will have to check.Yes,I think that is sipperlys poster maybe. We need a closer pic cause it looks just like steve raymonds also.
Come to think of it also I just looked in my album and don't have one of garys card.I had to of lost it as I am sure I had a couple from early 90's. Damn, does anybody have one?

L8r Shannon

Aaron, dig through your stuff and see if you have a sipperly or lemke card for me or seven Generations. Also, did anybody ever have a card from Jim Kane?I have his old price lists but thats it.

vichris Apr 21, 2007 03:06 PM

And I think the previous name was "Snakes Alive". His company motto was "We produce captive bred gems". Not sure if he used "captive bred gems" as a name though.

Sunkleef Reptile Breeders, or Sunkleef Reptiles would have been acceptable. Not sure which one it is exactly but it was Sunkleef. I got the list through the San Diego Herp. Soc. when I was about 12. I remember the classified section was just like a 5"x7" insert into the newsletter. It always had Terry Lilley's Central Coast Reptiles, Bob Applegate and Snake Connection from FLA.

shannon brown Apr 23, 2007 08:37 PM

never heard that one.Good to know Aaron.

Am I the only one who got this? I didn't see it mentioned, and I know I'm a bit late on the "band-wagon", LOL.

JKruse May 19, 2007 01:57 AM

As I read more responses, yes, others got it. Sorry, LOL.

CSRAJim Apr 20, 2007 03:42 PM

Shannon,

WOW! What a wonderful list of names...brings back some great memories to see some of the "old" cards from the early 90's. Thanks man!

Later,
Jim.
