Argh, too many eggs!!

WhtsThFrequency Apr 20, 2007 03:52 PM

In March ago my female fat-tail laid eggs. So all right, cool, into the incubator they go. Been checking on them, they're fertile, incubating at 80F for hopefully more females. Two and a half weeks after that laying - More eggs laid. Errr...ok, into the incubator they go. Fertile again. Now it is two weeks later and yet AGAIN I can see eggs in her belly bulges.

Yipes! I don't have room for all these guys if they all end up hatching! What do you all do when you have overly, er, prolific lizards? Sell them to pet stores (not my first choice)? Friends? Just remove the eggs and throw them away?

They would love to be in your situation with TOO many eggs, LOL
That's good your doing something very right that they feel so comfortable, heheee. But may want to seperate for a while so the female gets a breather, her calcium level will take a nose dive. Make sure she gets plenty.

I do not have fatties, but breed other lizards, as far as your hatchlings, you can always find people to purchase them. (Do it through email though, not on the forum Or advertise in the classifieds. In any case, best wishes with your ever growing Fattie Family, hehehhee
