Here is the finished product

Here is the finished product. This should allow for some good data on thermal regulation. The three top cages have ports to the outside. The Pseustes exhibited breeding behavior after being exposed to the sun for the first time in months.

Wow! It really looks excellent. How long do you allow them to sun each day?

They sun as long as they want. I was just watching them and the unicolor is going back and forth as well as the coachwhip. Pseustes has stayed out most of the day. I will check in the evening to make sure they all went in until the weather stabilizes.

Congratulations on the eggs! Your indoor/outdoor setup looks good. When pleasant summer temperatures settle in will indoor cages stay cool enough? How do you heat cages in the winter? Your efforts have me thinking to do something similar. Maybe set up a few cages like yours and rotate occupants every few days at cleaning time.
