are pancake torts difficult torts to keep? i just got a pair and they have not shown interest in eating it has been 3 days now. and all they do is hide can anybody out there with info tell me if this is normal and how long after shipping should a tort take to eat? these seem to be not very active torts mostly hide all day.

i too am interested in these torts an would like to get some this year to add to my herd.

from what I gather yours do not seem un-ordinary I think they are slow to adjust maybe a week or so and i've read that they are active first thing in the morning and they will hide alot. theyt seem to get a routine and will stick to it. but i think my torts all have there own routines. the pancakes seem to be a little shy at first and some will come out of it some will not (so I have Read).

let me know how it goes
ps where did you get them? online?

i got them here http://www.prismworldexotics.com/TortoisesForSale.html the 1st male and first female are mine i have had them for a week now there eating great and seem very healthy.they do hide most of the day. they seem to eat later in the day and are most active around 3pm til 8pm wich is weird.they are not like my russian at all but there now taking food from my hand and are coming out more i am very pleased so far. but if you want a more active tort i don't think these are it.
