So i am having a really hard time finding vermiculite for some reason its nowhere to be found around me. Maybe im not looking hard enough or maybe its really just not around who knows. Anyway i can get perilite at the home depot (couldnt find any vemriculite i looked) is there anything else i can mix with the perilite? Or can i somehow use only perlite? I also looked in the local pet stores for hatch rite im going to check the petsmart by my work a little later think they will have it?

Any nursery or home and garden store will have it. HD does sell it. I bought some there yesterday.

If you cann't find it perlite will work just fine! Thats all I have ever used.

2 Gregs , Must make a right.. Thats all I have used the past 15 years. I started using it then because my eggs where to moist.
I find if you use perlite and egg crate, you'll never lose a egg again . Here is a picture of how i use it ... If your going to put them rite on the perlite make sure thier not touching any water..

McMaster-Carr has a great deal on BIG bags of vermiculite on their website. I've used it with success....
