I just got a notice that the Local & Consent Calendar Committee will be meeting at 4pm or after final adjourment on Monday. They CAN set this to be heard on the floor later in the week (at least 48 hours after the meeting). But they don't HAVE to.
IF we can get them to leave this on the table and NOT schedule it for this week, it will buy us some desparately needed time.
If you have any good contacts with a member or staff on this committee, it's time to request a favor.
If you don't have a good contact on this committee GET ONE!
Stress that all we are requesting (for now) is a little time. This should not be too much to ask.
