I don't keep my beardies in a rack. Although most racks are heated by heat tape along the back or rear of the drawer.

I believe boaphiles is able to put a light or two in their longer boa cages/racks (could be used for beardies if the lighting was worked out ok).

Otherwise, I'd love to hear what kind of racks it's possible to put beardies in. I would probably do it if I could figure it out. (4'-6'racks only of course)

Yeah, I would like to know if such a thing could be done for beardies too!
I don't own one rack system lol ... I did however have my Mother's husband build me what looks like a two level table which has lights attached to it and I can fit 4 10 gallon tanks on each shelf for a total of 8 tanks.. thats what I use for my beardie babies. Two are always set up with paper towels and the other 6 have playsand in them... works for me!
I haven't had an issue with a gradient problem either... two tanks "share" one basking light and this heats one corner of each tank and the rest of the tank stays fairly cool. Diagonally across the tank it is 107 in one corner and 84 in the other.
Will try to get a picture and post it some time soon

Not a good picture and it only has one level pictured, but you can get the idea.....

That strip light only extends 1/4 way over the end two tanks... got some longer bulbs on order, I have the actual lights just waiting on the bulbs.. those pictured are temporary. I have been rotating the tank placement when they get cleaned for now..

The only comercially available rack that I would use, for beardies, would be the one by freedom breeder (Doskicil Reptile). But that would be a hair small for an adult. But imagine awesome for babies. I have a "rack" that I use. I bought it at home depot. I wired up the lights myself. It measures 5 ft. (long) by 2 ft (wide) by 7 ft (high). I have one set up now thinking of getting another one. the one i have set up I use the bottome level for my adult females in a 75 gallon aquarium. The upper levels I put plastice bins that are about the size of 40 breeders. I am attaching a pic. don't konw what I would do without this setup. 85 for the rack, 80 for the lighting equipment, and 120-180 for bins, 20 for screen tops (which i made). so for a total of about 350 I can house up to 12 adult beardies or 12 clutches of babies.
