The Jungle litter has just started to shed and I took a couple of pics of some of the ones that have shed.

Hey Ash,
Thanks for the compliments. If you go to page two of the boa forum and look for a post titled "3rd litter of 07" you can see pictures of the parents.
Thanks,
Steve Scroggs

Those are awesome! Very pretty-now can you explain the "aby" thing to me again-they look like jungles to me-is it a different lineage of jungles? Thanks!

Hey Tracy,
They are not related to the Swedish line Jungles as far as I know. The Aby line was created by Mike at Basically Boas and I am sure he could provide alot more information than I could. My babies were produced from breeding an 05 Salmon Aby male from Mike to an unrelated normal female. It seems like the line produces very aberrant patterns and nice coloring similar to Jungles. Hope this helps some.

I would love to see the parents that started the whole Aby line in the first place. If I remember right, their were a couple of oddballs in Rich's PC line, and Mike bought one or both and that's the beginning of this fantastic line. My facts may be off, but that's how I think it started. I also read somewhere that the original male used was a hypo possible Jungle, that proved out to be only a hypo later on in other breedings. Again my brain may be clouded on remembering this info -- I'd love a refresher from Mike if he's lingering around.

I have 1.1 of those aby's from Mike, and they are so remindful of the jungles, but I couldn't remember the origin-out of the salmon line? It seems that the jungle type pattern is roaming around those hypo/salmons somehow. Has anyone bred an aby to a Swedish line jungle?

Morgans Boas Apr 22, 2007 08:02 PM

and I emailed Steve about this, and his reply (a good one) was:
"To be honest, I haven't really thought
> about crossing
> the Aby line with the jungles, but that might make
> for
> some awesome babies. The only problem would be if
> they were not compatible and telling the difference
> between the Aby's and the Jungles."

Then that litter would be a potential breakthrough, or a potential mess. Kinda like breeding a Kahl to a Sharp.
