He/she is just letting you know that he/she is not happy. Nothing to worry about.

ye i got him/her from a reptile specilist petshop but they didnt breed them. i live in the uk n its hard to find reptile breeders with a good reputation were i live. i got 3 from the same place and all there tails are skinny im a bit worried about the smallest one. the albino one hasnt stopped eating since i got it the other two are eating everyday but not as much. i seperate them when feedin so i no how much each are getting and i have a bowl of gecko food and meal worms in all the time for just incase they get hungry.

I've found that many young geckos have relatively skinny tails (even from some very reputable leo breeders here.) Try feeding them a few butterworms to help fatten them up a bit.

In regards to your question about the clear substance, it's just a sort of defensives measure leos sometimes use to let you know that they just want to be left alone to hide. Young geckos are far more likely to do this because they haven't had the time or the handling to become truly tame. Just handle them for a minute or two every day in their cage.

As they grow older, they should stop squirting at you (provided you don't accidentally stress them out.)

Good luck with these lil' cuties!
