Outdoors?

Just wondering how many of you keep your lizards outdoors for all or part of the year. If so can you post pics of your enclosures?

Wow-now that's luxury! Where are you located-do they hibernate out there. And how do you find eggs when they breed?

Brad,

I am just outside of Houston, Texas. This is a year round pen that is self sufficent. The chucks, Desert Iguanas and what ever else are on their own. They eat, breed, hibernate, sleep, lay eggs & hatch & live with little help from me. I do not even look for eggs-- I just wait till they hatch & start counting.
It was lot of work and was done before I discovered the internet. That meant I had very little info other than a few books I could find. I also had memories of a trip to Az in '74 & '97. I built this in 1999 and have been very pleased with it. In fact-- I just now came inside from counting Desert Banded Geckos a couple minutes ago.

Maybe these links will work. Most of the Cactus & Lizard pics are taken inside the pen. My cactus collection is getting out of hand!

Where are you located at?

That's little short of inspiring! I'm over here in Boerne (just north of San Antonio), so I'm sure your concept would work great here as well...Thanks!

Can I pitch a tent on your property, dang looks like those guys are living high of the hog, in the lap of luxury, like kings, (Get my drift), LMAO

I wish I had the land, I would have a BLAST doing that.

Heck Yeh-- I just changed the oil in my mower- now I am waiting on the Copperheads.
Tom--- I think I caught some flak a few years ago over this didn't I? From some of them Hot Huggers!
