Incubation Temperature

eric27 Apr 22, 2007 05:59 PM

I was wondering if anybody could clarify me on what temperature my jungle carpet eggs should be incubated? I have searched extensively on the internet, one source was 87-90F, another 30C and my friend told me it was 28C. They have been in the indubator for a couple days now and the temperature is hovering around 29C (84.2F).
Thanks!
Eric

We incubated our clutch that is hatching now at 89 degrees F, Some people like to go 88, but it might take an extra time for them to hatch, but some people say it makes for better hatchlings....But 89F worked pretty well for us.

I have a commercial grade incubator. It's set at 89 for the clutch of IJ carpets in there now. Last year my coastals hatched 33 out of 35 at that temp.
