sexing question

asia2003 Aug 14, 2003 07:18 AM

Sulley (sulcata) is 2 years old, approx 7-8 inches in length, not sure of his weight, I was just wondering how soon you can tell the sex? I have looked at the photo differences on this site, and it seems that the anal notch is very pointed, almost arow like, and the gular projection does not stick out as a male's typically would, do I have a female? or is it too soon to tell?

Thanks,

Leyla x

You may need to wait a cupple more years. Some breeders don't know they have males until they start going after the girls. Most of the time, if you know what to look for, 14" is about the right time to start looking. Sometimes it is easy to tell if you have another to compare it to.
