But I need to ask, Where the heck are the parents or teachers in this? They are holding the park owner and keeper responsible but it seems to me the clueless individual(s) who allowed 9 year old kids to leap a fence and molest the animals are more directly at fault than some guy who just happened not to be there at the moment.

That's like blaming your local zookeeper when you let your kid jump in the lion cage.

But it's just my 2 cents.

Yes, it really is a tragedy

I also totally agree with you, Chris, regarding the responsibility of the parents or other guarding persons.

Beside, torturing zoo animals with catapults and stuff like this seems to be unfortunately common in Asian zoos. I saw this in Sri Lanka , in Hong Kong...it was a bit confusing, because watching zoo keepers did not stop that.

I agree this is a tragedy but also agree that it is a little unfair to blame the owner, the keeper, or the croc. When are people going to be held responsible for their actions. The croc could/would not have eaten the child if it had not been in his enclosure. The more people I meet the more I like animals.
