Clove ate a mouse last night for the first time not in his/her enclosure (in a large pail) AND is going to shed soon *happy nervous excited snake parent*. If I can get through that without any trauma I'll be all set. I'd like to thank those who have very helpully answered my questions so far and I'll probably have lots more. The question of the day is why does Clove have random white scales here and there amond the dark ones and the light ones? Is this normal coloration? I'm sure they're scales and not parasites,I looked very closely.

Congrats! It is a very gratifying experience to see one's babies do well. Even my wife says that she feels good seeing my babies eat because it means that the babies are getting the nutrients that they need for growing healthy.

I'll leave the coloration question for someone else to answer.

Congrats!
