I woke up this morning and the chameleon had a puss like thing hanging from his eye, its not on the eye but right in front of it connected on his turret, I tried to brush it off with a q-tip but it seems stuck, is there anything i could rinse his eye out with befor having to go to the vet? warm water, saline? thanks in advance

Sterile saline would sting less and not add any infectious material to it.

oik false alarm whatever it was came off, i cant tell what it is it-looks like dry sap from a tree(i think he had a small cut on his skin by his eye) hes doing good both eyes are clear and fine. Could the thing have fallen off from the 10 min mist i gave him yesterday? i sprayed on him and made sure to get some in his eye, he didnt like it but stayed put. All the other times i spray him he runs, this time he stayed in place then bulged his eye out like 20 times.
