First Hog Eggs - 11 Tri Color

LeosAnonymous Apr 23, 2007 07:26 PM

I was pretty pumped to see 11 eggs in the lay box! Only problem is that I have a feeling that a bunch are duds.

What do ya'll think? I hope some of the discoloration is because they were laid in moss.

Hi Ross,
I would say it looks like you may have about 6 or 7 good ones but I would keep them all until you are shure of the bad ones and get rid of them as you go. good luck

Well, I am well aware how moss stains, so I think you might have more good than bad. Don't throw any out until they stink. I really only see one that looks totally bad. Have you candled them to check for fertility?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I usually wait a week to candle to give the egg a chance to develop a bit, but I think I might have to check right now.

Thanks again for the input everyone.
