My Okeetee from B. Lichtenhan

guttersnacks Apr 24, 2007 10:16 AM

I got a pair of Okeetees from Brad Lichtenhan last year in the early spring I think.
This is the male from the pair. There are no connected saddles all the way down this guy. The black border gets really thick towards the tail as you can sort of see. I'm really happy with him! The female is a it more on the red side, with 3 connected saddles. She's really nice too and they both have lightning fast food/coiling responses. Enjoy!!
If I can get around to shooting the female, I'll do so!
Pardon the unfinished deck in the background heheheh. we live right on the water and flooded from a hurricane a few years ago and the deck hasn't been a priority

very nice okees. Havn't seen you around here much. Have you been able to do any herping lately. I'll be down your way with a friend or two in the upcoming months to look for kings.

Yea, I've been up to my nads with Jeep stuff. I havent done MUCH herping yet, but I plan to this year.
I checked York County the other day for kings as a matter of fact, and the place it just too friggin clean. No AC anywhere. Bummer. For once, I wish the place was a little sloppy hehehe.
Keep in touch, maybe we can meet up and do some herping together. I scooped up a female black rat the other right up from my house. I put a small post up in the ratsnake forum as "Strong Breeding Response?" If I dont think she's receptive to my male, I'll release her soon after a meal or two.

Elaphefan was looking for a male BR use for breeding his female to. He lives down your way. Shoot him a email from this site. Could probable split the clutch.

I actually grabbed that snake specifically knowing he needed one. It turned out to be female though. The vent was really hard to read, and I don't probe.
