Well, its supposed to be between 5-14 days, but i would not worry too much, you should see activity any day now. This year i had one corn shed on April 3. I expected eggs around the 13th, but nothing. On the 20th she started to go back into shed, and then deposited her eggs on the 21st. So as you can see it does not always go by the supposed timeline.

could I mate her again now? or would it be better to wait until she lays?
I was away for a month because my wife had severe complications to her pregnacy and a friend took care of my snakes. He paired them up but didn't watch to see if they mated...So I'm not 100% positive she mated....

Wait until after she lays. If a female is going to double clutch, often it will happen without introducing a male. If her weight is fine and you want to introduce a male wait until after she deposits eggs and then has had a post natal shed. Begin feeding and then put your male in with her.
