This girl was a slow grower but now she's really putting on some size finally. Can't wait to try to breed her!

Though we just spoke of this by phone, many folks have been asking the sname question so I figured I'd answer it here.
I got 17 eggs laid by our female Carpondro a couple of months ago. She was less than a year old and was housed with a male chondro and another efemale carpondro. The other female was bred repeatldly by the GTP but she never ovulated. This young female carp that did lay, never once was anywhere near the GTP male in the couple of weeks they were together. So I think she ovulated without ever having been bred simply due to the presence of the male GTP. Ovualtion by females with no copulation have been documented many times over. So I think that's what happened here. Now I know what she's capable of though.

As Yasser knows, I just got a nice 7' female carpondro, 10lbs worth. I put her in the cage with my 7' male jungle and they have been locked up for 3 hours. A bit late in the season, but what the heck.
