Texas Brush Country 4/23/07

Thought the weather looked favorable (overcast, temps in upper 70s overnight, high humidity), so we headed south to see what was moving. Strangely, only saw one live atrox and NO checkered garters (recent trips both have been all over the place lol). Besides the live, also 3 DOR atrox, plus a big southwestern ratsnake (mealhorrum) and a nice desert king (both males-probably out cruising for mates). Before dark saw a pair of Harris' hawks-a lifer for me!
