New Hondos

mgl Apr 24, 2007 11:25 PM

Hello All,
I haven't posted in awhile but I thought I'd share some of the animals I recently acquired or produced. Should be a very interesting year. The first 3 pics are of Jaap's line of vanishing cream colored hondurans. They are co-owned by Jason Baylin of Eastcoastserpents.net. We acquired a 1.2 pairing. Special thanks to Don Shores for helping make things go smoothly.

thanks
mgl

Jaap's other female, which I personally like a lot. Plus a vanishing ghost and hypo I produced in 06

These are some of Terry Dunham's animals of Albino Tricolors on breeder loan. They have tremendous potential and I'm anxious to see what can come out of them with certain pairings. The ghost is het albino and proven. The female has her triads running together. She is poss hybino and ph anery.

Not sure if I posted these before but an extreme or intermediate and the twin ghost (only shot I got before they left the egg) from extreme lines

Dear Matt:

This Extreme on the bottom photo with the grey bands, is this a female or male. If you have this one or any others of like coloration i would be interested.

I'd also like to thank Jaap for his hard work and email exchanges. He's a great guy with top notch stuff. Sorry to see him go from the hondo world

They all look fantastic man! I especially like Jaap's cream coloured hypos. What happened to him and hondos? He sold them all?

that have produced all the nice ones in "circulation"

Also have 2 adult, aberrant het-hypos from the above pairing. when bred back to the hypo dad they should produce some killer offspring I am hoping! One of them barely has any red-orange on it. I can't wait.

Nice stuff Matt, good luck with your new animals they look great and are Jaaps personal holdbacks so that says enough right there!

I have been interested in obtaining some of Jaap's animals. Where abouts do you live Jawn? Could I get on the list for some offspring?

Well, if Jaap got out its nice to know that his animals are being well cared for. Here is a trio I picked up from his this year. All his hypos are bloody amazing.....

Hey Matt,

Great looking snakes! I'm glad that you posted some of your stuff. Is that Extreme Hypo the one you held back from that ghost clutch...the one that GLOWED as a neonate?

LOVE the hypo Tri-colors!

Hey Rusty,
No, that isn't the same guy. He still looks very light but I would call him an intermediate more than an extreme now. How are the animals?

RG Apr 26, 2007 08:20 AM

The Anery is gravid...of course she's huge so it's hard to really tell just by looking at her. I'm hoping to prove out a Hypo PH Anery male. Then my second pairing is my male Ghost to a Hypo PH Anery female. I hope at least one proves out to be het Anery (the female more so than the male obviously).

But next year could be crazy...Ghosts, Tri-color Hybinos, Snows, Anery double hets, Hypos het Amel...and if I get really lucky Ghosts het Amel.

The female Hypo het Anery PH Amel is doing really well...eating 2 adult mice every week. The male Ghost PH Amel is doing well too...he's almost ready for adult mice.(these are the other two I got from you)

The male Hypo het Amel I got from Jason B. is doing really well too, taking 3 fuzzies every week. But, now that I have a sub-adult Hypo het Amel...I don't really have a reason to keep him, even though he looks good.

Are you or Jason going to be at Daytona this year?

are doing well. That anery was always a good breeder, I believe almost if not 100% hatch rate and she did double clutch (if memory serves me correctly). I hope the roll of the dice on the others proves out for you. My last year test breedings didn't go so hot and I ended up with a lot of males on top of that.

I may go (w/ Jason) to Daytona. I'm not sure yet. We'd probably be under Terry Dunham's table. I'll have to check the dates because I'll be heading to Brazil in August for work--not too shabby. Good luck this season
