How long should I quarantine

canineloco Apr 25, 2007 02:52 PM

a new adult gecko? The person I am adopting from has a recent (within the last 3 months) vet check signed off on communicable diseases.. I still think I should do a minimum of 2 weeks. Any other advice??

Thanks in advance

Any time you bring a new leo in there should be a quarantine time of no less than 30 days no matter who you got the animal from or what vet checked them...

Personally any new gecko I get is in quarantine no less than 90 days... Call me paranoid but I have thousands of dollars worth of leos and I love every one of them... I will not risk their health...

Thanks I appreciate the info, I would never risk his health either. I just wasn't sure what the consensus was if there was a vet check associated with the new gecko

Thanks!!
