Everyone has their own opinions on this subject, however, I always recommending erring on the side of caution over recklessness. You will probably want a minimum of a 60-day period. This will give you ample time to treat for internal and external parasites while also allowing you ample time to closely observe your new animals. I personally use a 90 day quarantine period and while this may seem excessive, it has saved my established collection more than a few times. There are many factors that will determine the length of quarantine period:

- did you get these snakes from a reputable source that you are comfortable with?
- are these snakes outwardly healthy? Do they have a good feeding response? Are they active and alert?
- are these hatchlings, juvies or adults?....typically, the younger the animal, the less they have been exposed to problems.

These are just a few considerations. Hope this helps.
