Were both of the parents black too. I've never seen a whole clutch of black ones. How many of those eggs turned out melanistic?

Is melanism in thayeri that simple?
I have never heard of a thayeri being het for black before.
I didn't think it was that simple, but then again, I really didn't know.

About 5 years ago I bred a pair of melanistic thayeri together and the female laid a clutch of 7 eggs. ^ were good and all that hatched were melanistics. They weren't bred the next year and then I sold them so I am not sure how the ratio was for later clutches.
