Day 33 POS and losing hair...

bhmorrill Apr 25, 2007 09:59 PM

But she finally came through for me. Six big fertile eggs. Pic sucks, but I had to document this one after all the hours of worrying she put me through!!! What is the longest you all have had a female wait and still give you a good clutch?

Later,
Ben

This one took 43 days, last year. (4.1 perfect 100% albino babies)PLUS she was accomodating enough to crawl off the eggs for us. UNLIKE 2 of her sisters who were extremely nasty last week.

Ben,
We had our first clutch this year by a Pastel female that wanted to wait 46 days. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't the first clutch of the year.

Good thing I shave my head, or I would have ripped my hair out too. I have 4 more that I'm waiting on to lay. I hope they get with the program and understand that we plan on THIRTY DAYS! No more of that 2 weeks of pacing crap. Don't they know stress kills?

got my first clutch last week, 42 days after shed !!!!
worst part was i missed her ovulation, but seens how she hadn't eaten anything in 4 months and still was very plump i was sure she was full of eggs! she laid 6 eggs (albino x pied x albino)
good luck with your eggs

WOW, I had no idea that so many came that late!!! I would have gone nuts if she took 40 days...sorry you all have had to go through that. I can't even imagine. Well, now I know not to start really worrying until they hit 40 days. Thanks again for the replys, I really appreciate the info, and good luck with your eggies this year!!!

wait wait wait.........

wait all year long......

I have ALOT of balls that are past the 30 day mark......one looks like she is keeping them in herself till they hatch........

........all we can do is wait and watch.......and gather the corn eggs in the meantime.......

.......200 eggs so far and only 8 are balls......37 females still making me grrrrowl.....

BUT......

IF they all lay right now we will all have them at the same time anyways........and noone buys them till next February ayways.....so the longer they wait the less we spend on time and food till we sell them .......at $30% of market value.....and at 650 grams..........hahahahahaaaa
