Took this photo at noon today.....

Kelly_Haller Apr 27, 2007 07:44 PM

Caught them late last night but did not want to turn on the lights for a photo. Came home at noon today and they were still locked up. Jud's male has never failed, and this will be the 4th litter he has produced if it takes. This will be the first time for this female. I raised her up from our first litter produced in 2001. She is exceptional, and the most calm and laid back green I have ever worked with next to this male, and I expect the young to have outstanding temperaments. She is between 13.5 and 14 feet and a little over 100 lbs. Jud's male has grown and he is now at exactly 12.75 feet and 68 lbs. This is the largest male green anaconda that I know of in captivity. He definitely has the routine down.

I never seen a male that large in captivity, good luck with the breeding and post those babies when she drops.

Kelly, I do not get on here anymore as my attention has been put forth completely toward my Corallus, but I just happened to stop by for a peak at what was going on here at Sesame Street and seen your post. It is wonderful to see you continue to work with anacondas and go extra miles with them unlike nobody I have seen in the last 21yrs. They are beautiful and your success with them in care and breeding is a true testimony to your passion for them. Gorgeous animals and every time I see one of your Greens, I am tempted to get on the list for one, just to have an Anaconda that full confidence in health is guaranteed. Good Luck and Thanks, for working with this wonderful Species!...........John

to the comments I received from everyone else. Really great to hear that you are going to concentrate on Corallus. They are an incredible group and not a lot of people are putting the time and effort into working with them the way you can. Keep us posted on how things go with them. Thanks again,

Kelly
